A month or two ago, I thought that creating a group for bi married men over 50 would result in a lot of interesting, lively, and sexy conversations between guys like me who needed an outlet and a place to make friends who I could share my thoughts, fantasies, and feelings with. There was a lot of initial interest in the group, but I have found that only a few members really engage and share their own experiences.

To those people, I am grateful and say thank you for sharing. I have met a few good people here and enjoyed chatting with you, but overall, I find that most people are just watchers who do not participate much and there are not a lot of new topics introduced or conversation on existing topics. I think maybe we just don't have critical mass or maybe this is just the way of the world.

I have learned a few things over the past weeks though. I have learned that there are many older married men who became bisexual later in life. There are many who dream of sexual adventures but, for many reasons, cannot experience them. I understand the challenges as they have kept me from experiencing MM sex for a long time. In the end, (no pun intended) I think I am just not getting what I was looking for from this group. I started out by joining literotica and I think I will return there as there is a larger and more active member base. Perhaps I will find a different site which is local to my area so that friends I meet online might eventually become friends I meet in person. Time for me to just move on to the next step and see what happens.

I would like to acknowledge and say a big thank you to Don Williams who set up this group on his server and works very hard to keep content flowing. Good luck Don in keeping this going and building upon your existing successes. You are the center of this site and the heart that keeps the blood flowing through the topics.

For those of you who are enjoying the site, don't read too much into my departure. Its just not what I was looking for but I hope it persists and fills a need that many seem to have.

This is more than a little disappointing. It takes time to build critical mass. Literotica Forum has over two million members. A tiny percentage of them are active. Thay's just the way it works.

Hey Peter, I'm going to miss you. I understand your decision and hope you visit this site in the future to see what is happening. I just joined a few weeks ago and am happy that I did. I still post on Literotica also, but the core group of men does not seem to grow as large as the number of members they claim. Be well and happy.

I think that mature bi men are an invisible bunch in the main, so its great to have a space where we can chat and exchange views, fantasies and experiences. I've been on other forums and left because there are too many restrictions or overzealous moderators, this space seems to suit me far better than many of the ones I have been a member of.

I think that this forum will take time to really get going as its still minutely small, so I'll stick around and chime in from time to time.

Thanks for the kind words, BrokenQuill. I'm sad to see Peter go because, as you stated, mature bi men are invisible, but for many good reasons. One of the most important good reasons is the very high risk of having their lives turned upside down if found out. Another is the inherent shame that goes along with this secret. A third is that, for many of us, there are few actual experiences, but mostly fantasies. For those and other reasons, the group from which this subforum's membership comes is inherently small.

I offer this forum with few posting rules primarily because I want people to begin to feel comfortable talking about their lives. If there are things I can do to foster greater comfort or improve otherwise, please let me know.

If it would be better to have a confession section that is password-protected, I can do that, as well. People should just let me know.

Sorry to see you go, Peter. That said, I'll echo the sentiment that you should stop by once in a while just to see what's going on. Who knows, you might just find something that reignites your interest.

You know I hate those people who say they are leaving, but don't leave. Just creating drama. That being said, I was having quite a bad day and just posted abruptly about my departure. I don't want to make excuses. I fucked up. I miss the friends I made here and, while this site is not as active as I hope it will be some day, I think I should stick around, lower my expectations about the amount of traffic going on, and see where this forum goes in the next months.

So in short, I apologize for being hasty and walking away. I hope I did not burn any bridges. Unless people object, I am rejoining the board and hope to continue contributing to the collective.

It's human nature. Glad to see you back. Last night, I had the opportunity to hook up with a 20-something. I arrived on the appropriate street, and my Spidey senses told me to abort mission, so I got spooked and backed out. I don't know where the sudden apprehension came from, but there it was.
