Announcement from the World Health Organization
The World Health Organization has just released the results of a new study that confirms Covid antibodies can be successfully transmitted from donor to recipient providing significant Covid immunity for two to three days after transfer. Here are the highlights of the study.
Source of Antibodies
The study has shown that antibodies are best stored a few degrees below normal body temperature. Like sperm, the highest concentration of transferable antibodies are found in the male testicles.
Longevity of Antibodies
While antibodies can survive up to five days in ideal conditions, the study has shown that once mixed with semen, antibodies are only viable for approximately 60 seconds. Also, antibodies are immediately destroyed by contact with oxygen so they must be isolated from the atmosphere.
Donor Characteristics
The ideal donor will be a male between the ages of 25 and 75 who is free of sexually transmitted disease and is in general good health. Older donors generally provide less volume of antibodies but due to their slower maturation, they tend to have higher efficacy. The donor must be able to achieve an erection and be brought to a satisfactory orgasm to deliver the antibodies to the recipient.
The donor’s last ejaculation should have occurred not less than 24 hours before the transfer to ensure adequate volume of antibodies but not more than 48 hours before the transfer to ensure the freshness of the sample.
Recommended Procedure for Transfer of Antibodies
- Recipient will sit on a chair with the donor standing directly in front of the recipient. Donor will wear a robe or open garment providing full access by the recipient to the donor’s penis and scrotum.
- Recipient will take the donor’s penis between their thumb and fore-fingers of the right hand and stroke the penis forward and backward to obtain a full and firm erection. Simultaneously, using the left hand, the recipient will gently massage the testicles of the donor to encourage the transfer of antibodies from the testicles to the epididymis in preparation for ejaculation.
- Once a full erection is obtained, the recipient will place the glans of the erect penis into their mouth forming a tight seal between the recipient’s lips and the shaft of the penis.
- The recipient will apply gentle suction to the penis while sliding it into and out of the mouth, pushing the penis as far back towards the throat as possible without triggering the gag reflex. The recipient will continue to massage the donor’s scrotal sack during this stimulation of the penis.
- When ejaculation is imminent, the donor will signal the recipient to prepare for the transfer of antibodies.
- The recipient will push the penis as far back into the throat as possible, ideally forming a seal between the glans and the opening of the throat to ensure full capture of the sample and no exposure of the antibodies to oxygen.
- During ejaculation, the recipient will grasp the hips of the donor and hold firmly while the sample is being deposited. The recipient will swallow repeatedly until the transfer is complete and the ejaculatory response has ended.
- The recipient will withdraw the still erect penis from their mouth, maintaining the air seal between the lips and the shaft to prevent air entering the mouth.
- The recipient will keep their mouth closed for at least five minutes to protect the sample and allow absorption of the antibodies.
Recipients are encouraged to refill their antibodies at least once every 48 hours. More frequent refills increase the level of protection and the recipient is encouraged to request samples from a wide variety of donors to broaden the spectrum of protection achieved.
Donor Protocol
Donors are encouraged to wear a purple armband when they are prepared to deliver an effective dose of antibodies. Donations should be spaced at least 24 hours apart but semen should be less than 48 hours old at the time of donation.
After donating, please remove the purple armband until sufficient time has passed and you are prepared to donate again. There is likely to be a high demand for donations by recipients of all ages and genders and this process will reduce recipient disappointment.
